Bexhill’s promenade was a sea of colour last Sunday, when 60 mobility scooter and wheelchair users, walkers of all ages, participated in a fun walk for charity.
Clare Kerley, President of the Bexhill Lions Club, said: “The atmosphere was friendly and fun, and people made a great deal of effort with their costumes and decorations.”
Around £400 was raised for Bexhill Caring Community, a charity set up to care for people of all ages who need help and support. They provide a range of services including transport, gardening and companionship to over 1,000 people every year.
At Ghyllside, we were delighted to hear about the success of the day and glad to sponsor a local charity that makes a big difference in so many peoples’ lives. Well done to everyone involved!
